📝 Description

What is this product?

Chinese Cabbage (Brassica rapa subsp. pekinensis), also known as Napa Cabbage or Wong Bok, is a tender, leafy vegetable commonly used in Asian cuisine. It has an elongated shape with pale green leaves and a delicate, sweet flavor. Unlike traditional round cabbage, Chinese cabbage has softer leaves and a juicy, crisp texture that’s perfect for stir-frying, soups, and salads. It’s low in calories and rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, calcium, and folate, making it an excellent choice for a healthy and balanced diet. Known for its versatility, it can be eaten raw, cooked, or fermented into kimchi.

🌍 Origin

Chinese cabbage originated in China over 1,000 years ago and remains a staple ingredient in East Asian cuisine. Today, it’s cultivated widely in Saudi Arabia, India, China, and Korea for its adaptability and year-round availability. Locally grown Chinese cabbages are harvested fresh and crisp, ensuring premium quality and flavor for both home cooking and restaurants.
